28 La Antiqua, also called La Antigua 28, is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom vacation rental on Avenida La Antigua in Las Catalinas. Match the bedrooms to who is actually coming

Four people is the hard limit. The primary bedroom has a king bed. The second has two twins, and those can be converted to a king if you request it. Both bedrooms are ensuite, and each has a TV. That layout works for two couples, a small family, or friends who want closed doors and two bathrooms more than extra sleep space.

Pets are not allowed, including emotional support animals. The minimum stay is two nights. If you need a fifth guest or an animal in the unit, this apartment will not stretch. In Las Catalinas, a kitchen and two closed bedrooms often matter more than a hotel lobby. If that is the stay you want, La Antigua 28 fits the walking rhythm of town.

Cook, rinse, and rest without leaving the building

The living space opens into a kitchen with a granite island that seats three. Stainless appliances cover daily cooking: refrigerator, oven and stovetop, microwave, and dishwasher. Air conditioning and wireless internet come with the unit. So does a stackable washer and dryer. A private terrace gives you outdoor air without walking down to a plaza.

Shared complex pieces include a BBQ grill, an outdoor shower, and a rooftop terrace. Those extras matter here, where a midday meal at home beats a hot walk for lunch. Rinse sand at the outdoor shower. Rest upstairs when the light is harsh. Walk back out when the lanes cool.

Arrive on foot from the edge of town

Cars stay at the perimeter so the core can function as a pedestrian village. Save the pin for La Antigua 28 before you leave the parking area. Carry water. Wear shoes that handle cobbles and dry-season dust, not only sand. A hat, reef-conscious sunscreen, and a refillable bottle make that walk easier.

Most international visitors reach this coast from Liberia, often well under two hours when traffic is light. From Playas del Coco, Playa Hermosa, Potrero, or Flamingo you are already in the neighborhood. Roads slow with village traffic and the final turn into town. Guests already staying in Las Catalinas may pass Avenida La Antigua on a coffee or grocery walk.

There is no on-site front desk. Guests receive email check-in instructions and smart-lock details, with a private entrance. Checkout is 10:00 a.m. Construction in the still-growing town may happen during a stay. Pack for luggage on foot, and for some noise if building work is underway nearby.

Let the sun, the club, and checkout set the clock

Optional Beach Club access is $30 per person per day, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Member-only limits can appear during Holy Week, mid-year vacations, and Christmas. If the club is part of your plan, mention those dates when you book. Checkout at 10:00 a.m. means last-morning beach time is short. Plan the final swim the day before, or keep it brief.

Dry season, roughly December through April, brings bright beach days, brown hills, and hard midday light. From about May into November the hills green up and afternoon rain can rewrite a dirt path. Put swimming and any longer walk in the morning. Use midday for the kitchen, the terrace, and rest. Late afternoon is when the water and the lanes feel kind again.

Keep the rest of the day inside town scale

Let one outing replace a single layer of the day, not sit on top of swimming, lunch, and a dusk walk. Swim at Playa Danta while the sand is still gentle. Eat and rest when the sun is high. Take a short hill path or a lane walk when the light goes warm. Nearby coves and the forest paths above the houses keep the afternoon close even after a morning away.

Potrero's bay, the road toward Flamingo, and the towns toward Coco give you a change of scene without crossing the province. After you settle at 28 La Antiqua, notice what else sits on Avenida La Antigua. Walk back toward the plazas. Leave tomorrow open unless you truly need a transfer.
